6/1/2026 - 7/20/2026: 2026 Summer Reading Program Has Concluded

Thank you for participating in the 2026 Summer Reading program! We hope each of you unearthed a new favorite this year. Please see the information below to complete the program:

You have until Aug. 20 to pick up your prizes (while supplies last).
If having achieved the 1,000 point mark, you must redeem your free book at the Summer Reading website by Aug. 1.
Library Card designs must be turned into your local Peoria Public Library by Aug. 1.

8/3/2026 - 8/8/2026: Storytime Break

Storytimes will be on hiatus at the Peoria Main Library and Sunrise Mountain Library from Aug. 3 through Aug. 8. They will return for their normally scheduled times the week of Aug. 10. 6/5/2026 - 7/31/2026: Peoria Main Library - Lego Club - Summer Hours

The Lego Club at the Peoria Main Library will be moving to summer hours, 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m., beginning Jun. 5. The club will return to its normal time, 3:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m., on Aug. 7. Please call the Peoria Main library at (623) 773-7578 with any questions.

7/22/2026: Sunrise Mountain Library - Crafternooners Cancelled

The Crafternooners session scheduled for Jul. 22 has been cancelled due to an event happening at the library that day. It will return on Aug. 26 at its normal time. Please call Sunrise Mountain Library at (623) 773-8650 with any questions.

8/19/2026: Peoria Main Library - Family Video Gaming Nights - New Night

The Family Video Gaming Nights program will be moving to the 3rd Wednesday of the month starting Aug. 19, with the start time remaining at 4:30 p.m. Please call The Peoria Main Library at (623) 773-7555 with any questions.

9/2026: Peoria Main Library - Read It & Eat It Cookbook Club - Fall Hiatus
