Winter Reading Program

Nov. 18 - Jan. 4

Join our Winter Reading Program this holiday season! Get a prize just for signing up, then read at least 20 minutes for 20 days, marking off each day on your reading log. Turn in the completed log to your local Peoria Public Library for a finisher prize. When completed, each participant will also get a register-to-win slip for a chance to win a great prize basket! Reading logs may be picked up at your local Peoria Public Library starting Nov. 18 and the completed logs are due back by Jan. 4. The program is open to all ages.

12/23/2024 - 1/31/2025: Peoria Main Library - Adult Lab Closure

Due to an exciting new project and improvements coming to the 2nd floor at the Main Library starting in late December, the adult computer lab will be unavailable from Dec. 23 through Jan. 31. Computers and printing will continue to be available in the youth area on the 1st floor. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please call the Main Library at (623) 773-7578 with any questions.

12/04/2024: Excel High School - Discontinued E-Resource

The Excel Adult High School e-resource, a grant funded service, has unfortunately come to a closure. The resource is no longer available via the Peoria Public Library.

10/21/2024: Sunrise Mountain Library - Sensory Storytime on Hiatus

The Sensory Storytime at Sunrise Mountain Library is on a temporary hiatus. We thank you for your patience during this time and ask to check back soon for information regarding its return. Please call (623) 773-8650 with any questions.

12/23/2024 - 1/4/2024: Storytime Break

Storytimes at the Peoria Main Library and Sunrise Mountain Library will be on break from Dec. 23 – Jan. 4. They will return for their normally scheduled days/times during the week of Jan. 6. 12/27/2024 & 1/3/2025: Peoria Main Library - Lego Club Breaks

The Lego Club at the Peoria Main Library is cancelled on Dec. 27 and Jan. 3. It will return for its normal days and times on Jan. 10. Please call (623) 773-7578 with any questions.

12/24/2024 & 12/25/2024: Library Early Closure and Holiday Closure

The Peoria Main Library and Sunrise Mountain Library will close at 12 p.m. on Dec. 24 and the buildings will be closed on Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday. The buildings will reopen on the following Thursday, Dec. 26, at 9 a.m. Library materials that would have been due on Dec. 25 will not be due until the next business day. The outside bookdrops will be unavailable during the closure.

12/31/2024 & 1/1/2024: Library Early Closure and Holiday Closure

The Peoria Main Library and Sunrise Mountain Library will close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 31 and the buildings will be closed on Jan. 1 in observance of the New Year's Holiday. The buildings will reopen on the following Thursday, Jan. 2, at 9 a.m. Library materials that would have been due on Jan. 1 will not be due until the next business day. The outside bookdrops will be unavailable during the closure.
