'Color our World' at the library as the 2025 Summer Reading Program is here! People of all ages may participate by signing up and reading 20 minutes a day to earn incentives and prizes all summer long. Your local Peoria Public Library also offers several special summer events that can be enjoyed by the whole family! Those attending the events can even earn additional points! The program runs from June 1 through August 1, so be sure to sign up today and find your next adventure at the library!

Pick up a tiny art canvas from the library and create your own masterpiece using any medium. This all-ages project invites you to “Color Our World” as part of the Summer Reading Program. Return your finished canvas to be part of a community-wide art exhibit. Supplies are limited—get yours while they last! For all ages. For all ages.

Are you a fan of anime/manga like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, or My Hero Academia? Come watch anime, discuss manga, and even try authentic Japanese snacks at the Peoria Public Library! For ages 12 - 17.

Teens and adults, come enjoy a blend of fun and education with virtual reality at your local library! Each month will present different activities and themes - all in the amazing world of VR!

This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Blacklight Bingo is a glow-in-the-dark twist on traditional bingo, held under blacklights with neon décor, music, snacks, and themed rounds. Permission slip required as this is an after-hours event.

Are you a teen who loves to write and create? Join us for a writer’s room that will allow you to express yourself, and create something imaginative and exciting! We will be writing along with prompts and sharing together. Feel free to bring any personal creative writing that you would like to get feedback on. For teens in grades 6 - 12. No registration required.

Teens, join us once a month and relax with your friends for 90 minutes of gaming fun! Play a wide variety of video games, meet new people and hang out at the library. No registration required.

Make a mess, make a masterpiece! In this textured canvas art session, we’ll layer thick spackle, paint, and create bold, touchable works of art. Teens only ages 12-17. Registration required.

Peoria Public Libraries in partnership with Driving-Tests.org, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, offers free Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) practice tests to library patrons. The service includes free tests specifically based on the state’s DMV materials. It is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that let users hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask portions of the screen for greater visibility on the practice tests.
